Personality:
Zelenn is free spirited, amiable, and fairly extroverted. When first meeting her, she can be slightly stand-offish, but usually will try to initiate a conversation after a short period of observation. Zelenn prefers to act silly with friends, and is not used to having to handle dire circumstances, but when in a situation which requires her to be serious she is quick to rise to meet it. She will do everything in her power to protect those who are important to her, however with timid determination.

Story:
Zelenn is the rightful heir to the throne of Pelora, the marvelous kingdom in the west, but when war breaks loose between Pelora and the mountainous civilization Detesser, she is sent to live with her human aunt and uncle in the east at 1 year of age, after being orphaned on the night her parents tried to escape a gruesome battle. At the Lord’s Manor, she is brought up lovingly, and is never taught she is queen in order to protect her. But when she develops an empathic power possessed only by the true Pelorian heir, her destiny pulls her back into the still raging war in the west, where she must face violence, sadness, love, friendship, struggle, and a past she never knew she had.



Rita

Personality:
She very easily can fool anyone into thinking she’s carefree, bright, enthusiastic, and fun at first glance, and even long afterwards. Rita, however, beneath all of those characteristics, hides a very lost, directionless, perhaps almost depressed person. Rita is constantly spontaneous, loving to immerse herself in parties, impulses, and sometimes her own daydreams to further escape her straying life. The innermost Rita is actually quite gentle, vulnerable, and compassionate, but most hidden is her talent in photography.


Story:
Rita shares an apartment with her punk, promiscuous boyfriend Able, but any romantic relationship they have, they only acknowledge on Wednesdays. When the landlord of their apartment building bites the dust from a heart attack, Rita meets her new neighbor from accross the hall, a newspaper journalist named Gregory Redmond, at the funeral. Gregory is the polar opposite of both Able and Rita; he’s very reserved, studious, intelligent, quiet, stable, and observant. While Rita and Able pursue an imposed friendship with him, Greg is the first in a long time to sense Rita feels trapped in a life she pretends to enjoy, and begins to try and help her. In the midst of Greg's attempts to tame her, Rita introduces Greg to what she says are the pleasures of doing anything you want for no reason at all, trying to get him to realize what he is missing. The two form an incredibly strong friendship, and eventually grow to love each other. Greg succeeds in getting Rita a job interview with his boss at an office party of his after he takes her with him, where Greg believes she could utilize her photography skills. Rita, however, becomes afraid of the changes Gregory represents, and despite her love for him and how much she may actually wish for change, she disappears from the city with no warning within the hour of her interview.


Avice

Personality:
Assertive, persistent, and courageous, Avice’s basic personality was a strong one. She was outgoing in everything she did, and was ready to try anything enthusiastically. With a solid love for her people, she undauntedly joined the army when they began receiving war threats by a growing enemy, but after her traumatic experience and social exile, a shell of distrust and ruined self-esteem encompassed her otherwise confident disposition and physique.

Story:
Avice’s people, after being forced into a war with a society bent on conquering them, threw together a small army of willing patriots including Avice, but when the war began, no one expected for the enemy’s cruelest act: cutting off the wings of their prisoners and leaving them to die in the forest. Out of the amount of prisoners with her who were captured, only Avice survived the decimating torture. Lacking the ability of flight now, she returned to her home on foot, only to be looked upon with fear and discrimination. Avice fled to the woods and became a hermit for three years, until one day another soldier from her species’ army, Lani, escaped as a truant, and sought her help to return home undetected. Sourly agreeing, Avice lead Lani through secret paths, but try as she might to be cold and hard in front of him so he could not attack her appearance, Lani showed no qualms with her, and in fact worked to build her confidence, and one night after Lani took her on her first flight in three years, their love was confirmed. But their journey home was soon stopped with new challenges, which would test their love and themselves.
